This long beach, located 16km west of Corfu town, is made up of golden sand and fringed by rocky hills covered in olive groves and pines. Glyfada is every beach lover’s dream. It has a fun cosmopolitan vibe to it with fancy beach bars, restaurants and tourist shops lining the road along the beach. The atmosphere is transformed as the sun goes down, with bars turning their music up for a night of partying. Water sports are very popular on this beach, with anything from wakeboards to banana boats for hire. And if you prefer a more secluded setting, you can visit the small beach of Myrtiotissa nearby.
